Season 2: 1999-2000
Aunt Marguerite leaves her mansion to Lois in a will, and the Griffin family moves there. Peter decides to kidnap the Pope to mend fences with his religious father. The worst predictions about Y2K come true and the family tries to survive off of a Twinkie factory. Brian's psychologist is certain that Brian's feelings for his best friend's wife are the cause of his incontinence. After being sued for sexual harassment Peter is sent to a women's retreat and comes back effeminate. Peter pretends Chris has cancer so he can get a TV show back on the air. Meg feels very embarrassed by her family and takes them on a talk show to shame them, but instead the Griffins receive their own reality show, forcing Meg to leave. Peter is then helped by the Mafia obtain a brand-new car in exchange for a favor, entertaining Big Fat Paulie, the nephew of the Don. Finally, Peter tries to mold Cleveland Jr. into a famous golfer, neglecting his own son.
